Seia 35 Modular pendant light with lampshade in intertwined wicker. 35 metres of wicker are carefully selected and then skilfully shaped for over 3 hours of patient intertwining. The Seia lamp is subject to a water-color protective treatment of natural, green, yellow, light blue and red color. It can be also lacquered in white, black colors. The overall sizes of the pendant light are 18 Ø x 35 H cm. “Simple geometric lines and modular logic. The character of each lamp reveals itself in the final shape and the relationship with its position. The geometric, minimal aesthetic of the collection comes from the desire to get away from the typical repertoire of forms used for woven wicker objects lending them a timeless connotation.” Caratteri Collection is a family of suspension lamps in woven wicker, composed of conical modules of the same height that interlock, up to a maximum of four segments. If it is necessary, they can also be installed outdoors as long as they are sufficiently protected from atmospheric agents and not directly exposed to the sunlight or water, in spaces like verandas, gazebos, arcades or protected spaces. The raw materials used for weavings could be not extremely homogeneous due to different physical properties and the items could have dimensions a bit different from descriptions listed in this document. The colors could change for the same reasons. Those features are the demonstration of authenticity of each product that is unique and handcrafted in Italy by Mogliano’s masters. Woven wicker is extremely resistant over the years, if it is stored in a dry place and without excessive temperature changes, and it could also change color or nuances due to its sunlight exposure based-on nature. The weaving by the craftsman is performed with soft and wet material, an the material dries naturally with the passage of time losing its elasticity. For this reason, avoid excessive pressures, overloads of heavy weights or impacts. The bases or wooden parts are entirely in solid wood: with the aging they could change in size and present natural micro-cracks. Avoid direct and long exposure to the sun, completely avoid wetting. About the lamp usage, in normal condition the items don’t require special maintenance. Cleaning Use a soft cloth for cleaning. Don’t use any chemicals, acids, scourers or steel brushes. The base in natural wood must be cleaned and dusted using a soft cloth, even slightly damp. Immediately wipe again with a soft, dry cloth. For lamps cleaning, unplug the appliance from electric power before to proceed. Never immerse the device in water. Wicker is a natural material, so cleaning the wicker lampshade don’t get it wet nor use chemicals. Use compressed air to remove dust.
