18th Century French Fire-Gilded Bronze Electried Church Chandelier
About the Item
A very fine, large fire-gilded bronze church chandelier in Louis XVI style, France, late 18th century. This wonderful piece is finely elaborate in precise detail decorated with elegant foliate, flowers and cherub faces, three curved arms with frosted glass flame shades.
The chandelier has been electrified at a later time with three E27 light sockets for large sized Edison screw bulbs.
In fine antique condition, great aged patina to original gilding, fully functional. One flower is missing at the bottom of one lamp arm - please see last image.
