About
Scrittura illeggibile ocra is a three-colour silkscreen print and is part of the collection “Edizioni d’arte” (Art Editions). The concept is based on the idea of observing writings with a graphic eye and, even without being able to read the meaning of the words, being able to appreciate the elements of beauty made by the marks.
Bruno Munari was one of the most important Italian architects, artists and designers of the 20th Century. Born in Milan in 1907 he started his artistic work very young during the Futurist period and dedicated himself to painting, graphic design, film making, poetry an writing. His work is characterized by its strong educative nature, which stems from his passionate interest in using play to develop creativity in children. In the last years of his life he concentrated more and more on the problem of visual and artistic education organizing and participating in courses, seminars and activities for children, adults and teachers. After more than half a century his creations live on to this day in his collections for Danese Milano.
