Lewis Smith Drawing of Athletic Dancers

$1,500

About

Lewis Smith (1907-1998) was an eccentric self taught artist in rural Ohio. He had a lifetime railroad pass that allowed him to follow women's athletics in schools and colleges that he would later refer to in his drawings. His art has been shown in Europe and numerous exhibitions in the US. This drawing is particularly fanciful.
