Large European 1930's Nautical Map Reader Magnifying Glass

About the Item

This European set of two nautical magnifying glass map-readers are quite unusual and rarely found. It is fully encased in it's heavy wooden and metal enforced box. Hailing from between the wars and the Industrial Era, these large magnifying glasses are 2.5" thick and are almost 16" in diameter. They are installed in a dual function wooden and metal enforced box with original hardware and vintage patina. Collectors feast your eyes on this glory! NB. Please note the following: Do not leave this piece on a table or any surface where direct sunlight can shine on it. The glass will burn any area it rests on when exposed to direct sunlight.
