A simple and elegant Roman bronze hand mirror, late Republic Period, circa 1st century, Italy.
The bronze mirror of simple form. The round face with a pierced border design. The openwork handle of twisted form, lending an air of elegance to the simple mirror.
The bronze with a beautiful patina of brown-red cuprite with areas of vivid green malachite.
Measurements of mirror only: H 9.5", D 4.75".
