Hester Bateman Georgian Silver Teapot

$6,450Asking Price

About

A work of refinement, this George III silver teapot was crafted by the legendary female silversmith Hester Bateman. Its round form is accentuated by Bateman's signature beaded trim, while a pineapple finial and handle, both carved from ebony, add the perfect decorative contrast to this wonderful work of English silver. Characterized by the understated elegance associated with the Neoclassical, this teapot illustrates the high quality and craftsmanship Bateman imparted into every piece she created. Hallmarked London, 1778 Measures: 9" wide x 4 1/4" deep x 5 1/2" high.
