A fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver teapot in the Art Deco style; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This fine antique George V sterling silver teapot has a plain circular rounded shaped form onto a spreading foot. The body of the teapot is embellished with subtly incurved fluted panels. This antique teapot is fitted with a hallmarked domed hinged cover ornamented with a concentric circular tiered design, all in the Art Deco style. The cover is surmounted with the original iconic Art Deco style Bakelite faceted finial, securing to the interior with a screw fitting. This antique teapot is fitted with the original and impressive angular Bakelite handle with a tiered thumbpiece to the upper plateau. This fine antique teapot is fitted with a plain tapering spout. The underside of the teapot bears the registration number 'RD780543'. Dimensions: Length from back of handle to tip of lip 24.3cm/9.6". Diameter of body 14.6cm/5.7". Diameter of foot 7.7cm/3". Height 11.4cm/4.5". Weight: 14.2 troy ounces/442g. Maker: Henry Clifford Davis. Date: 1932. Origin: Birmingham, England. Video: A video of this fine piece is available upon request.
