Set of Four William IV Silver Wine Coasters Sheffield, 1830

A very good set of four William IV silver wine coasters, of octagonal flared petal shaped form with a cast rim of ribbon and reed decoration and a shell at each node. The fruitwood bases with a central boss with the crest of a horned goat. Marked to the body and the central boss for Sheffield 1830 by S.C Younge & Co. In absolutely first-class original condition with no signs of any damage or repairs. Very minor signs of use. The wood is in first class order with no splits and the silver is a good gauge and has excellent color. The hallmarks are somewhat worn to the base and slightly less worn to the silver bosses in the centre. Height: 2 inches or 5cm Diameter: 7 inches or 17.5 cm.
