1910s Crichton Brothers Sterling Silver Coffee Pot

About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver side handled coffee pot made by Crichton Brothers; an addition to our silver teaware collection This exceptional antique sterling silver coffee pot has a plain tapering cylindrical form on to a circular collet foot, in the form of an oil can. The surface of this fine example of antique silverware is plain and unembellished, with an applied moulded border to the upper rim. The coffee pot is fitted with a conical shaped hallmarked cover surmounted with a sterling silver tiered finial. This antique silver coffee pot retains the original carved wood C-shaped side-handle featuring a scrolling thumbpiece and fitted to plain silver sockets. This antique coffee pot has a plain tapering cylindrical spout, which is perpendicular to the handle. The underside of this coffee pot bears the retailer's mark 'Crichton Bros, London & New York'. Condition This antique sterling silver coffee pot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. This sterling silver coffee pot has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The interior of the coffee pot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear. Condition This antique sterling silver coffee pot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
