The decoration to the body incorporates an applied moulded border to the upper shaped rim and an impressive scrolling leaf design to the underside of the spout. The formation of this Edwardian piece reflects an early Georgian design and style often associated with the renowned silversmith Paul de Lamerie. This impressive example of Edwardian teaware is fitted with a cast and applied shaped scrolling handle with a predatory bird's head to the upper terminal and further leaf designs to the lower socket. The jug is supported by three impressive cast and applied ribbed feet with scrolling sockets in junction with the body.
