Adorned with a striking engraved border with a shell motif, this large William IV silver serving tray is also adorned with an elaborate foliate design of incredible intricacy. Paul Storr's remarkable works are among the most collectible items in silver, and this extraordinary silver tray is among the finest of its kind on the market today. Though primarily known for his mastery of the neoclassical style, Storr was also particularly noted for his outstanding craftsmanship in the execution of richly decorated pieces, especially presentation silver.
