Sterling Silver Lions' Head Salt

About the Item

Sterling silver lions' head salt. Neapolitan silver salt / bud vase of circular form with reed and bead rim bordering silver bowl supported on tripartite base with lion head masks on incurving legs above paw feet. Engraved "DS" to side of bowl. Italy, late 18th century. Dimensions: 3” diameter x 2” height; 3” width paw to paw.
