English Georgian Neoclassical Sugar Basket by Robert Hennell

George III sterling silver sugar basket. Made by Robert Hennell in London in 1785. Ovoid boat bowl with c-scroll swing handle and raised oval foot. Engraved ornamental borders and swags with 2 pendant wreaths of which one with interlaced script initials and the other with armorial. Rims reeded. Fashionable Georgian neoclassicism by a noted maker. Fully marked.
Dimensions: H (without handle) 4 1/4 x W 5 3/4 x D 3 5/8 in. H (with handle) 7 in. Weight: 6 troy ounces.
