A very fine antique William IV English sterling silver drum mustard pot; an addition to our silver condiment collection.
This impressive antique William IV solid silver mustard pot has a plain drum shaped form.
The sterling silver body of the mustard pot is plain and unembellished.
The upper rim of the body is ornamented with an applied gadroon decorated border.
The base of the impressive mustard pot is embellished with an applied moulded border, accented with a band of thread decoration.
This fine mustard pot is fitted with a hallmarked domed hinged cover surmounted with a pierced and scroll decorated thumbpiece.
This William IV mustard pot has an impressive opposing scrolling handle embellished with a fine chased oak leaf design to the upper portion.
The cover opens to reveal a removable blue glass liner and original gilded interior.
This William IV mustard pot can be supplied with an appropriate sterling silver mustard spoon upon request.
Condition:
This antique mustard pot is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition. The chased and applied decoration to this piece is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body and part hallmarks struck to the interior of the cover are all very clear.
