Antique Swedish Arts & Crafts Style Silver Coffee Jug

About the Item

A fine and impressive antique Swedish silver coffee jug in the Arts & Crafts style; an addition to our diverse silver teaware collection. This fine antique Swedish silver coffee jug has a plain octagonal panelled waisted form onto an octagonal collet style foot, all in the Arts & Crafts style. The surface of the silver coffee jug has an impressive subtle planished finish. This fine coffee jug is fitted with the original hinged domed panelled hallmarked cover with an impressive integrated bud and foliate finial. This fine example of antique teaware retains the original impressive carved wood handle incorporating a shaped thumbpiece and is fitted to a plain octagonal panelled socket. This Swedish silver coffee jug is further embellished with a shaped drop ornamentation to the nadir of the spout. The hallmarks to the underside of this impressive coffee jug include: Makers mark: G.A.B (Guldsmedsaktiebolaget) Silver quality/purity mark: Three Crowns National mark (Swedish, .830, 830/1000) Town mark: Crowned Head (Stockholm) Date mark: R7 (1919) Condition This antique coffee pot is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The interior of the coffee jug has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the coffee pot and rim of the cover are all very clear.     An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver teapot in the Arts and crafts style; part of our diverse teaware collection. This exceptional antique George V sterling silver teapot has a compressed oval rounded form to a spreading foot. The body of this 1930s silver teapot has a subtly planished finish, all in the Arts and Crafts style. The body of this impressive teapot is encompassed with a plain applied moulded girdle. This George V teapot is fitted with an impressive hinged cover featuring an applied Arts and Crafts style cross design to the upper plateau. The cover retains the original carved, faceted finial, ornamented with inset silver components. This teapot is fitted with the original swept carved handle, ornamented with ribbed decoration to the thumbpiece. The upper socket of the handle is further ornamented with a cross design, reflecting that to the cover. The teapot features a plain, planished swan necked spout, accented with applied moulded ornamentation to either side. This exceptional example of Arts and Crafts silver teaware is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire. Condition This antique 1930s silver teapot is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The interior of the teapot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the foot and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the superior gauge of silver.
