- Antique Imperial Russian Solid Silver Cloisonne Enamel Purse/Case, c.1900Located in London, GBWe are delighted to offer this beautiful Imperial Russian silver cloisonne enamel purse/case made by Zverev Nikolay Nikolayevich c.1900 in Moscow. The case features two sides of ornately embellished cloisonne enamel featuring very intricate wire-work and vibrant colours of red, blue, white, green and hints of purple. In hand, the case feels very sturdy and well crafted, the closure being very tight and 'snappy'. As a result, the contents held within will be safely kept and the interior lining has remained very clean for its age. The overall proportions and geometric design of this piece are wonderful, presenting an excellent balance of finesse and contrast with the gilt and stippled background and scrolled enamelling that forms an incredibly eye-catching motif. The case is marked on both sides with the maker's mark H3 and the Kokoshnik 84 mark with the Delta symbol signifying the Moscow region. A wonderful collectable piece of fine Imperial Russian silverware...Category
