About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver cream and sugar presentation set made in the Art Deco style - boxed; part of our silver teaware collection. This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver afternoon tea set consists of a sugar bowl, a cream jug, six teaspoons and a pair of sugar tongs. The cream jug and sugar bowl have a plain circular rounded form onto a circular spreading foot. These vessels are fitted with sterling silver angular handles with scrolling lower terminals, all in the Classic Art Deco style. Each teaspoon and the tongs have been crafted in a plain Old English style pattern accented with an unusual incurved, decorative Art Deco style pierced design to shafts. This impressive cream and sugar set is fitted to the original Fine and impressive hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior, which secures with a push fit catch.
