    An exceptional, fine and impressive, large antique George V sterling silver regimental bugle; part of our diverse military silverware collection. This exceptional antique George V sterling silver regimental bugle has a coiling form with a wide tapering bell tube. The surface of the plain bell tube is embellished with an applied slipped Tudor rose* design below a coronet surmounted with a lion passant. The side of the bell tube is further ornamented with the contemporary engraved presentation inscription 'Presented by the Tientsin British Municipal Volunteer Corps, North China, 1923-1925'. The impressive bell of the antique silver regimental bugle is encompassed with an applied band of foliate decoration incorporating the presentation phrase '1st Bn the Loyal Regiment (North Lancashire)'**, all on a matte background. The plain coiled portion of the bugle is further embellished with panels of applied and embossed foliate decoration. This sterling silver regimental bugle incorporates a detachable conical mouthpiece, secured to the musical instrument with a round link chain.
