An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique American sterling silver coasters; an addition to our range of wine and drink related silverware. These exceptional antique sterling silver wine coasters have a circular rounded form. The circular rounded body of each coaster is plain and unembellished. The surface of each coaster is ornamented with the contemporary bright cut engraved initials 'WW'. The plateaued rims of these exceptional coasters are encircled with an applied, shaped band of fruiting vine ornamentation. These impressive antique sterling silver coasters were crafted by the American silversmith Theodore B. Starr in New York. Condition These American silver wine coasters are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The applied decoration is very sharp. The American hallmarks struck to the underside of each coaster are all very clear. Dimensions: Diameter 17.9cm/7". Diameter of base 11.8cm/4.6". Height 1.7cm/0.7". Total weight 16 troy ounces/499g.
