Antique Victorian 1882 Sterling Silver Tazzas Centrepiece

About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive, pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver tazzas/centrepieces; an addition to our continental silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian pair of silver tazza/centrepieces, in sterling standard, have a circular rounded form onto circular swept pedestal and domed spreading foot. The surface of each centrepiece has a frosted finish and is encircled with broad bands of engraved simplified undulating water lily decoration. The central circular well is embellished with further engraved lily ornamentation, encompassed with an incurved arched decorated border. The lower portion of each knopped pedestal is encompassed with an engraved lobed decorated border, in addition to a plain band. Condition This pair of silver tazza are an exceptional gauge of silver for their type, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each tazza dish are all very clear; the hallmarks are deeply struck due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
