About the Item

This large serpentine shaped silver plated serving tray was made in Sheffield England in roughly 1910 in the period Edwardian style. This plated tray has a deep gallery with cutout handles on either side and a serpentine shape with four nice tapered accents that correspond to the tray's feet. The surface area is deeply engraved with very wide bands of ornate flowers and scrollwork and nicely beaded surround. The tray is marked on the bottom and identified as being made in Sheffield England, but the maker's name is illegible.
