Antique English Silver Plated Tipping Teapot or Kettle with Helmut Top and Stand
About the Item
This antique silver plated tipping kettle or teapot originates from England and dating from circa 1900 and done in the period Edwardian style. The teapot or kettle has an interesting figural helmet finial on the top and heavily engraved sides done in a wreath and garland styled motif. The tripod stand has a beaded surround and paw feet. There are two pins attached to the base on chains that hold the kettle securely to the base, or can be made to pivot the kettle in either direction by using one pin. The base also houses the burner which seats into a ring underneath and is not visible when it's inserted.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. One old repair to the collar of the stand and the pins are difficult to both fasten at the same time. The inside of the kettle shows tea staining.
