Pair of Majolica Palissy Chalices Vases with Grapes Circa 1880

About the Item

Pair of 19th century Palissy chalices with lions heads and grapes garlands, the feets are stylized seaweeds in a Renaissance style. Attributed to the School of Paris. Hairline on the back of one chalice. The School of Paris was composed by makers as Victor Barbizet, Francois Maurice, Thomas Sergent, Georges Pull, it's a group of ceramists who produced Palissy pieces at the end of 19th century.
