Maker's Marks: Eleazer Wyer, Jr. (Portland, ME), working 1806-1813 Approx. 2.5 troy ounces Rare Maine silversmith and even more rare Presentation "Birth Spoon" in the "Fiddle" pattern given by the young boy's aunt. Inscription on obverse of spoon's handle " J Y Maxwell  Born July 24th, 1813 " and on reverse of spoon's handle  "Presented By His Aunt Young."
