Large Moorcroft Flambe 'Spring Flowers' Art Pottery Plate or Charger

About the Item

This large Moorcroft charger was made in circa 1940 with a deep flambé glaze in the 'Spring Flowers' pattern. The top of the plate is hand painted with a large bouquet of deep red flowers and green stems and foliage with yellow highlights. The depth of the deep red and burgundy flowers are significantly augmented by the flambé glaze covering the entire top of the plate.
