Set of Eight Minton Plates Each Beautifully Hand Painted With a Different Scene

About the Item

Look at the gorgeous hand painted scenes on this set of English Minton luncheon or dessert plates. The miniature paintings of the wonderful landscapes are painted by an extremely talented artist. The edges of the plates are embellished with small raised gilded flowers between two embossed gold circular borders which are lovely frames for the paintings. The artist has captured the natural light in his paintings which you can see by the pink and light blue skies. Scroll through the pictures to see all the scenic landscapes. These plates were exclusively made for Gilman Collamore in New York, who was a competitor of Tiffany & Co. at this time. They date back to 1886. Their diameter is 9 1/2 inches. They are in very good antique condition. Price-$3500.00.
