Royal Worcester Cabinet Plate Painted with a Pike by George B Johnson

About the Item

A stunning Royal Worcester hand painted porcelain cabinet plate painted with a Pike by George B Johnson and dating from 1921. The rounded plate is is finely hand painted in colour to the centre with a large pike swimming amidst pond weed with other small fish in the background. The porcelain has a slightly cream coloured finish and a richly gilded decorative border applied around the rim. The plate is signed Johson within the painted design and has a grey printed makers mark to the base along with a painted title 'Pike' and registration number which appears to be for 1916. The plate has date marks for 1921. In good condition with a few minor surface marks which do not detract.
