Pair of Sauceboats, circa 1752-1755: Of flat hexagonal form with waved top and scroll handle, painted after the Chinese in blue with the ‘desirable residence pattern’ of a building amidst rocks and trees; the interiors with hatched borders. Grey-straw translucency. Blued glaze. H.2.5 in (6.4 cm); L.4.8 in (12.1 cm). Provenance: Taylor Collection; P. & R. Daniels, 1997.
