Animal figurine: Parrot situated on a tree's stump with cockchafer Manufactory: Meissen Hallmarked: Blue Meissen Sword Mark With Pommels on Hilts (underglazed) model number 20x / painter's number 21 / former's number 13 First quality  Dating: made circa 1850-1860 Material: porcelain, glossy finish, multicolored painted Technique: handmade porcelain Designer:  Johann Joachim KAENDLER (1706- 1775) / modelled 1741 Since 1731 modeller at Meissen Manufactory, Kaendler is the most famous sculptor having ever been active on behalf of Meissen. Size: Height 11.02 inches / 28.0 cm Width 4.33 inches / 11.0 cm Depth 6.69 inches / 17.0 cm Subject: parrot and Animals on a Tree's Stump -- the EXOTIC BIRD being situated on a tree's stump slightly covered with leaves seizes a stone with its left claw. Additionally, the bird seems to nibble the stone. There are a cockchafer, a snail and an earthworm visible below the parrot. The tree's stump is decorated with sculptured flowers' blossoms, too. RARITY !
