Savoy Plaza large silver tray. Louis XVI style large oval platter / tray with neoclassical banded reed border. From the famed French style hotel overlooking the Grand Army Plaza on Fifth Avenue designed by McKim Mead & White only to be replaced by the banal box of the GM building. Stamped "Savoy Plaza" with impressed markings for Gorham Manufacturing Company. United States, 1927. Dimensions: 20" L x 15" W x 1.5" H.
