Longchamp French Majolica Asparagus 10 Plates and Serving Set
About the Item
A beautiful French Majolica faience asparagus set by Longchamp. Ten octagonal plates with hand painted country flowers on a cream background with raised edges and sauce compartment formed by pale green, lavender tipped asparagus stalks. Serving cradle with pierced bottom rests on an oblong platter. A good set in excellent condition with some light crazing and a small chip to glaze of the server. The plates and platter have impressed makers mark on the underside: Longchamp Terre de Feu, circa 1900-1920.
