An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver salver; an addition to our Georgian dining silverware collection.
This exceptional antique George III salver in sterling silver has a plain circular shaped, classic Georgian English form.
The surface of this antique salver is plain and embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved coat of arms depicting a chevron charged with two lozenge and a sun, between three lions passant.
The raised shaped border is embellished with applied scrolling decoration to the rim accented with simplified lobed shell designs to each curved portion.
This salver in sterling silver is supported by three impressive hoof style feet.
Condition
This antique Georgian salver is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The applied decoration is sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the salver are all very clear.
