From the Staffordshire pottery of William Adams IV & Sons, Newfield, Tunstall, England, an earthenware, underglaze tissue printed platter, in the ‘Columbia’ pattern, circa 1840. A romantic architectural pattern with figures in the foreground and a floral and scroll border. A makers mark on the verso showing an urn with the pattern name on a scroll. Measures: 15.5 in. L x 11.75 in. W x 1.75 in. H Incredible antique condition, a small old flake to the bottom rim, most likely from a plate hanger.
