19th Century English Majolica Gothic Grapevine Theme Cheese Board or Bread Tray

A Victorian English Majolica platter suitable as a cheese board or a bread tray, circa 1880-1885. Molded with a ring of grape vines on a butter yellow ground and with raised leaves dotting a cobalt blue center. A highly dimensional platter with a raised Gothic running border to the rolled rim. The verso shows a mottled tortoise shell glazed rim and a deep yellow centre. The mark of the glazer is seen on the backside. Measures: 13.5 in. L x 11 in. W x 1.25 in. H Overall fine crazing to the yellow glaze as can often be seen to the lighter colored glazed areas.
