18th Century French Moustiers Faience Pitcher

About

A small 18th century French Moustiers faience pitcher with a pewter hinge that connects the lid to the handle. Delicate hand painted floral decoration with a griffin on one side and a man on the other in the traditional colors of mustard yellow, green and blue. From the workshop of Joseph Ollérys with mark on the bottom. Minor restoration to lid and rim.
