Art Deco Caviar Server Etruscan Style Female Nude, Silvered Brass & Lucite

About the Item

Truly striking and beautiful, this large and beautiful caviar server surmounted by a sculpted Etruscan style female nude figure holding a shield is highly rare, probably unique. The gorgeous materials and Fine detail suggest that the piece may have been commissioned by a wealthy client and executed by a jeweler or sculptor. The base and bowl are executed in silvered brass, and the stem is sculpted and faceted Lucite; the interior of the half-spherical bowl is washed in gold. The piece may have been made in France or Italy; it is unmarked.
