Wine Glasses/Goblet Art Nouveau Hand Blown, Gilded Copenhagen, Moser, circa 1909

About the Item

These 6 wine goblets have a classical, elegant, harmonious shape. They are part of the Copenhagen drinking set that represents the Czech Republic during all the important meetings of the President of the Czech Republic and of the Czech Embassies all-over the world (Moser has become the exclusive supplier of the drinking sets for the Czech Embassies in the world in 1999) They are hand blown and made of ecologically friendly lead-free crystal. They are then handcut and hand polished to a high gloss. They are also beautifully gilded with an Oroplastic design (a wide gilded border with flower design), hand gilded with 24-karat gold. They come in the original packaging. 9901 goblet C: 260 ml / 8.7 oz Measures: H 18 cm / 7.1 inch These glasses are known to be used by the Jordan Royal Palace, Phillip the Prince of Spain with his wife, Haile Selassie I. (the Emperor of Ethiopia), Mohammed Reza Pahlavi (the Shah of Iran), The President of the Czech Republic, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk (the first President of the Czech Republic), Iskander Mirza (the President of Pakistan), Diplomatic Missions of Turkey, Czech Embassies in foreign countries The Secrets of Work by Hand Crystal with tradition from 1857 Each and every Moser art piece requires hours, days, weeks and often months of hand processing in the hands of our master glassmakers. The secrets of glassmaking are traditionally passed down from generation to generation. Becoming a master glassmaker requires years of practice, a great deal of talent and considerable strength: The glassmaker must hold vases or bowls weighing tens of kilograms while they work.
