Large Salviati Blue Venetian Glass Footed Bowl or Fruit Stand with Swan Support
About the Item
A large blue venetian glass footed bowl.
Likely Salviati with ribbed swirl design in the bowl and footed, applied rigaree band to the bowl, and a figural swan support with gold fleck.
The bowl has a slight lean to one side, and the base has a folded foot and an unpolished pontil mark.
(By repute originally acquired on Atlantic City's Steel Pier in the 20s or 30s as an amusement park grand prize.)
Height: circa 10 in.
