Art Deco Uranium Glass Figural Comport Centrepiece, C1930

About the Item

This is without doubt one of our all time favourite Art Deco comports. Originating from Czech republic and made by Karl Palda this comport packs two punches, not only visually with it's very distinctive green and jet black enamel accents/design but the pure size of it which stands 23 cm high and 28cm in diameter. The glass is extremely thick and therefore the comport itself is very heavy. The shape is extremely unusual, the column which supports the top and base is a female nude mermaid type figure. Condition is excellent, can't find any damage or flaws to note.
