Early 19th Century Silver and Crystal Candy Dish



Early 19th century candy dish in silver and crystal. This elegant crystal and argent candy dish on piédouche and its removable lid crowned with a swan forming the plug. The body is decorated with motifs of dolphins backed by a palmette pattern surmounted by a shell.Both high handles adorned with acanthus leaves are terminating with a bird or doves nest.The set rests on a square base and four ball feet. Measures: H 11 in.(28 cm) / L 7.6 in.(19.5 cm) Poids: 23.2 oz (660gr) Silvermarks: ET Period: Early 19th century, circa 1820.
