About the Item
A rare and unusual vintage studio pottery small penguin figures Stephanie Kalan (1909-1978) probably dating from around 1950. The hand crafted figures are of a mother with her young and both are delightfully portrayed and hamd decorated in tones of yellow and black with painted eye detail. The larger penguin is signed KALAN to the base while the smaller figure appears to have some hand written pre-decimal prices.
Offered in excellent condition.
