Polychrome Dish with a Village View, The Netherlands, 1700-1750

Polychrome dish with a village view. The Netherlands, 1700-1750 The dish has a spreading, slightly raised rim and is painted in blue, purple, yellow and green with a simplified village view of two towers with houses and trees in a double circle. The flange features eight arch segments, each filled with a scroll. The arch segments together form an octagon. Three stilt marks, which are characteristic for majolica, are visible in the centre. Dimensions: diameter 34,5 cm / 13.58 in. Very good considering its age of 330 years and usage. There are the usual chips to Rim. Very good considering its age of 350 years and usage.     Polychrome chinoiserie wine jug. Delft, circa 1680 The polychrome wine jug has an ovoid and turned body on a low spreading foot, a conical neck with spout and a handle with a scroll finish. The jug is painted in blue, purple and green with a continuous chinoiserie landscape with three Chinese figures. Bands with rectangular ornaments between double circles are applied on the shoulder and just above the foot. The neck is painted with a double leaf motif.
