Pale Pink and Brown Stoneware Charger Signed Polk, 1972

About the Item

Attractive stoneware charger / decorative plate in muted palette of pale pink and brown with pops of green and a strip of red leather attached to the handle. Nice textural elements present (the floral design is composed largely of small dots / circles carved out of the clay). There was an edge crack that occurred in the kiln that the artist filled, though it is still visible, as shown. Signed 'Polk '72.'
