Large Serving Bowl, Carved Bare Brown Clay With White Glaze, Hand Built Ceramic

About the Item

Large, wide and low brown ceramic stoneware serving bowl or center piece. Measures: 13.5 inches in diameter. Angled walls with beveled lower rim. The bare clay exterior has random hand-carved drawing with some notches. The off-white glaze on the interior is hand painted, revealing the clay underneath, adding contrast and depth to the design. Fully handmade using slab and coil techniques. Each bowl is different and unique. A beautiful statement piece for the table, it has a sculptural presence whether you leave it empty or fill it with fruit. A favorite wedding gift. Signed with artist's signature and signature chop on the bottom. Hand wash. This is a functional piece of sculpture, strictly for serving. Not recommended for cooking.
