A salt glazed stoneware bowl. Turned by hand.
Probably, circa end of the 1970s
Marked with his signature The Cycladic idol - a fertility-enhancing object -
has enchanted him from the moment he discovered it.
Its form resembles the pot form and both share a carrying, protective quality.
Since 1960 he signed his work with an engraved idol added to his signature.
Since 1963 he signed his work with just this idol-seal.
