Our Auraform vessels bring form to the fleeting, an expression of fossilized light. After throwing large stoneware forms on the wheel, each piece is covered by individually hand-rolled rays. Finally, a suite of glazes is painstakingly applied and fired onto the ceramic object. As their name implies, the Auraform vessels are energetic, dynamic and colorful.

About The Maker
Dougall PaulsonView Profile
Co-founders of Los Angeles multidisciplinary design studio Dougall Paulson, Sean Dougall and Andrew Paulson seek beauty through new forms of sculptural objects, furniture, lighting, and textiles, as well as interior experiences, branding and graphic identities, and art direction. Using narrative as the thread that binds ideas together, their unique take on visual storytelling is the starting point for the creation of objects that straddle the fine, decorative, and graphic arts. Based out of a former lightbulb factory in Watts, California—an area that embodies the creative spirit, fantasy, and history of a city—Dougall Paulson approach their practice with a focus on curiosity and discovery.
