Thanks The Old Portuguese Tile " Azulejo " Al-zuleique is the Arabic word from which tile is derived and designated the "small smooth and polished stone" used by Muslims in the Middle Ages. The way in which they applied the tiles to decorate floors and walls liked the Portuguese kings and thus, from the 15th century, they became a prominent place in architecture. It can be said that Portugal adopted them in a unique way, like no other European country.
