Machine Age Art Deco Signed John Gordon Rideout Industrial Design Table Set

US$2,950per set

Machine Age Art Deco signed John Gordon Rideout Industrial design table set Rare matched set by noted industrial designer Rideout. Streamline industrial design. Museum quality. Unseen 16" footed centerpiece with 4 matching coasters, in the 4 original distinct complementary center-patterns. ALL impressed with stylized script signature "John Gordon Rideout", and "made by hand". Formed of aluminum alloy with a pleasant matte-lacquered finish, most likely Lunite by Wagner Manufacturing Co. In VERY limited production, as derailed by WW II conscription. See "Toledo Designs for a Modern America", 2002, page 62, for the 1939 prototype of this line by Rideout.
