English Silver Plate Epergne Centerpiece Four Trumpets with Basket Base

About the Item

This beautiful epergne was made by S.J. Levi & Co. (1901-1938) in Birmingham England at the beginning of the 20th Century. This impressive silver plate piece features 1 large center trumpet vase amid 3 smaller vases which hold flowers elevated above a basket base with beautiful piercework. This centerpiece will hold mints or fruits in the basket and beautiful flowers at the top. Marked on bottom: Engraved Leviathan Plate Registry number 667720 - Hallmark SJL & Company

    Elaborate figural Egyptian Revival Victorian biscuit jar made by Mappin & Webb during the 19th century. This highly stylized piece features a winged sphinx with an Egyptian head piece finial. The piece is heavily engraved and has 4 four plaques that can be personalized. The bottom edge interior and outer edge is beaded and it stands on four stylized claw feet.
